Free browser-based tool to inspect and remove C2PA content credentials from images, videos, audio, and documents.
C2PA Remover is a free online utility for checking and removing C2PA content credentials – the signed provenance metadata that can identify which tools created or edited a file, which actions were performed, and who signed its history.
Users can upload an image, video, audio file, or document to inspect the embedded C2PA manifest and remove it with one click. Files are processed in memory and are never written to disk or retained after processing. No registration or sign-in is required.
For supported images, video, and audio, metadata is removed while the underlying pixels, frames, or audio stream remain untouched. Document containers such as PDF and DOCX are rebuilt without their metadata.
The tool is useful for privacy, clean client delivery, avoiding inaccurate AI-generated labels, and removing outdated provenance records before reusing a file.
