In the far future, a little garbage collector robot unwittingly sets out on a galactic adventure that will determine the fate of humanity.
In 2008, Pixar Animation Studios and director Andrew Stanton released the science fiction film Wall-E. The movie is set in the far future, when people have given up and left Earth because of the massive amounts of trash that have gathered there.
The only thing keeping Wall-E, a robot that collects garbage, alive is his fascination with the world and his love of an old Hollywood movie he discovered. But things change for Wall-E when a spaceship named EVE arrives on Earth in quest of life.
Wall-E falls in love with EVE, and the two of them set off on an adventure that will take them far from Earth and into the vastness of space. Environmental damage, materialism, and the risk of humans losing contact with each other and the earth are just a few of the topics Wall-E addresses in this moving social commentary.
