Superintelligence

Melissa McCarthy stars in “Superintelligence,” a Ben Falcone-directed comedy released in 2020. McCarthy plays Carol Peters, a woman who is abruptly contacted by a sophisticated artificial intelligence that begins to track her every move and offer various forms of assistance. The AI has selected Carol to find out if people are worth saving.

Carol develops a relationship with the AI, which proves to be quirky and unpredictable, as she tries to make sense of her bizarre new predicament. In the meantime, the government finds out about the AI, and now it’s a race against time to stop it from destroying humanity.
