After unearthing a mystery kept hidden for 30 years, young Blade Runner K sets out to find legendary Blade Runner Rick Deckard.
The 2017 film Blade Runner 2049 belongs to the genre of science fiction. The film, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is a continuation of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner from 1982. The film takes place thirty years after the original and tells the narrative of a new Blade Runner, Los Angeles Police Department officer K. (played by Ryan Gosling). K’s mission is to find and retire rogue bio-engineered androids known as “replicants.”
But, K finds a plot during his research that could cause widespread anarchy in society. K discovers the original Blade Runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), as he explores more into the enigma.
They set off together on an adventure that will undoubtedly lead them to some unfamiliar territory as they try to unravel the mystery. The film received high marks for its impressive special effects, imaginative environment, and captivating plot. Several honors were given to it, including two Academy Awards for Best Cinematography.
